Cathedral glass is a transparent glass typically consisting of one color. As with opalescent
glass arrangements, hand-stained segments may be incorporated into the design.
Opalescent glass uses a mix of colors usually between two and five
with a white opaqueness. Elements of hand-stained glass are often
incorporated into the design when this type of glass is used.
Leaded glass designs are held together with thin lead strips called cames. The width of the
cames are uniform and most often are used in hand-stained, cathedral and opalescent
designs. See examples below for hand-stained and cathedral custom designs.
